[α] Bytorsskug, "The City in the Tower's Shadow"
Bytorsskug, more commonly known as "The City in the Tower's Shadow" or simply "The City," is the Root Town of The World's [α] server. It is the most populous Root Town in The World:Overland for a number of reasons.This is the only Root Town that beginning players will be able to access at first. It is also the largest Root Town, and the widest range of goods and equipment can be found here.
The City is presided over by a council of twelve elected Judges. Through democracy and a strong cultural attachment to The Tower,The City comprises stunning vertical architecture. The style is an aesthetically pleasing mix of steam technology and Tower Artifact design philosophy.
